IN LOVING MEMORY πŸ’–

We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of alumni member Kenneth Roderick Allan (OH 1957) on 20th June 2024.

After leaving Haileybury in 1957 Ken attended Scotch College.Β  School was followed by university and he graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1966 with a Master of Arts in Classical Studies majoring in Greek and Latin.

In 1970 Ken joined Victoria Police where he rose to the rank of Chief Inspector. He served in several roles including as a detective and also a police prosecutor.

In 1968 he married his first wife Jo. In 2001 Ken retired from Victoria Police and in 2018 married Linda.

Ken was devoted to the pursuit of scholarship for the whole of his adult life.

Chisolm Institute of Technology: Bachelor of Arts (1986),
Charles Sturt University/St. Mark’s National Theological College:Β  Bachelor of Theology (2004),
Melbourne College of Divinity: Master of Divinity (Hons) (2005),
Charles Sturt University/St. Mark’s National Theological College: Master of Arts (2008).

In 1976 he was awarded an instructor’s certificate by the Royal Lifesaving Society of Australia.
