Where are they Now – Jazmin Harrop (OH 2022)

Jazmin Harrop (OH 2022) is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Business and Arts with a major in Journalism at Monash University.

Jaz loved playing netball at Haileybury and this year, she joined Mordialloc Football Netball Club, and they made the finals! Like many uni students, she is working a casual job at David Jones to keep the money rolling in.

She is a correspondent in Monash’s TV program, The Struggle, mentored by the incredibly talented Libbi Gorr. The Struggle is a hilarious satire news program that airs on a Monday night at 8:30pm on Channel 31. They won 3 categories at the recent Antenna Awards!

Jaz has also dived into the world of podcasting at MOJO News, Monash’s journalism organisation. The podcast is called Need to Know on the Go. It discusses valuable tips, tricks, and hacks to help uni students save money.

In January, Jaz is travelling to idyllic Samoa as part of the Monash Global Immersion Guarantee Program. She will be studying for two weeks to understand the impacts of climate change in their country.

Jaz is excited about attending the Class of 2022 1-Year Reunion on Friday, 17 November on the Victoria Star. We will see you there Jaz!
