OHA Australia Day Honours, 2018

Peter Hicks (OH ’65) was awarded an OAM for service to the defence reserves community. Peter has been involved with Defence Reserves Association in various capacity since 1966. He has been Editor-In-Chief of’The Australian Reservist’, since 2007, a former Vice-President Navy, Victorian Branch, a Committee Member, for many years and is currently the Liaison Officer for the Victorian Defence Reserves Support Council.

Bruce Langford – Jones (OH ’64) was awarded an OAM for service to the building and construction industry, and to golf. Bruce’s service includes National President (2006-2010), National Vice-President (2005-2006), Board Member (2001-2013) as well as Life Membership of the Housing Industry Association.
Former Chair, National Planning and Environment Committee.
Member, Victorian Regional Executive Committee, 12 years.
Life Member, current. His service to golf is astounding including
Deputy Chair, Golf Australia from 2006-2012, Captain of both Sorrento and Kingston Heath Golf Clubs and Life Membership of Kingston Heath.
