OHCC Hearts Surge into Top 4!

The Hearts have played some impressive cricket of late with a comprehensive win against last season’s premiers and a narrow last ball loss to last season’s runners up over the last two rounds. On Sunday, the Ladies continued their fine form notching up a win against an experienced East Malvern-Tooronga side.

Winning the toss and bowling first, the Hearts restricted EMTCC to 58. Wickets were shared amongst the Hearts bowlers – Chloe Goodfellow (2), Megan Kloprogge (2), Isabella Stewart (1), Jessey Visakan (1) and Natalie Passarelli (1). Laura Rabinovich and Tammy Syed also bowled well and were unlucky not to pick up a few wickets themselves.
With the rain fast approaching, the Hearts top order batters attacked from the first ball of the innings and kept up the fast-scoring rate reaching the 59 required in the 10th over. Malisha Vidyananda (10 retired), Laura Rabinovich (17 retired), Megan Kloprogge (21 not out) and Isabella Harris (2 not out) got the job done for the Hearts.
The win sees the Hearts deservedly jump into the top four on the ladder for the first time this season.

This group just continues to amaze. GO HEARTS!!
