Hearts on the Board!

HEARTS ARE ON THE BOARD!! ????Congratulations to the Hearts senior women’s cricket side on notching up their first win of the season against Cluden Cricket Club yesterday.
The OHA Hearts went into the CSBW round 3 clash against third placed Cluden full of confidence after two strong performances in the opening two rounds. After losing the toss and being asked to bowl first, the ladies restricted Cluden to 4/65 from their 20 overs with some fantastic fielding efforts and wickets to Laura Rabinovich (2/6), Maddy Waring (1/17) and Tammy Syed (1/10).
The Hearts batting innings started steadily, with the top order navigating through a tough spell of bowling from the Cluden opening bowlers with the loss of only one wicket. From there the Hearts batters accelerated, scoring 12 boundaries in a flurry to reach 1/75 after 13 overs. Malisha Vidyananda (14 retired), Isabella Stewart (15 retired), Emily Bannon (15 retired), Laura Rabinovich (15 not out) and Maddy Waring (2 not out) all got amongst the runs. The winning runs were brought up with a powerful pull shot that whistled to the boundary for four.
Well done Hearts, the club are so proud of you!
With a bye this Australia Day long weekend, the Hearts next play on Sunday 31 January 2021 at Haileybury Keysborough campus (Fisher Oval). The match will commence at 1.30pm. We’d love to see as many supporters there as possible.
