Where are they Now – Wayne Foenander (OH ’87)
Wayne Foenander (OH ’87) completed his plumbing apprenticeship after graduating and found his niche in Facilities Management. Working within the Independent schools sector, Wayne gained a reputation for running efficient teams at Wesley College, Melbourne Girls Grammar, St Catherine’s Girls School and St Leonard’s College.
In 2006, Wayne took a redundancy opportunity from St Leonard’s College to explore a sea change with his then fiancé over on the Bellarine Peninsular and hasn’t looked back. Always a keen and avid cricketer, he has been able to explore and accept coaching opportunities with both St Leonards and Drysdale Cricket Clubs who were quick to snap him up. This resulted in Wayne taking the teams into promotion last year.
Now “retired” from cricket, Wayne and his wife Susan can be found at the weekends renovating their property in St Leonards or traveling in their caravan or discovering yet another winery! Wayne is also the devoted dad to his two adult children Matthew 30 and Laura-Amy 26, his three step children Georgia 24, Lily 17 and Scar 16, as well as two fur babies, Odie and Lola.
Wayne, the sport enthusiast, is pictured in his “man cave”.
