Captain Andrew Tredinnick (OH 2015)
Andrew chose a path less ordinary — leaving behind a Bachelor of Commerce to answer the call of duty in 2020. Graduating from the Royal Military College – Duntroon in 2021 into the Royal Australian Corps of Signals, he has since led critical communications teams across Australia’s Defence Forces.
In 2022, Andrew posted to the 7th Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment located in Adelaide for 12 months, following which he moved to Darwin, where he spent the next two years at the 1st Combat Signal Regiment. There he was in charge of planning and implementing the communications for the 1st Brigade and was awarded a Bronze Commendation for his role. He loved the lifestyle in Darwin, and discovered the joys of camping and 4WDing, with Kakadu and Litchfield National Parks at his doorstep.
He has been involved in border protection operations as the lead communications planner, where he worked closely with the Australian Border Force and other government agencies to enable command and control across the area of operations.
Andrew was promoted to Captain at the end of last year, and now lives in Toowoomba with his partner Olivia, where they continue to enjoy the outdoors and cheer on the Geelong Football Club and the Australian Cricket Team.
