Hearts continue to Shine!

HEARTS CONTINUE TO SHINE ????After two strong wins to start the OHA Womens Cricket season, the Hearts were fixtured against two very strong and experienced teams on Sunday in our final two grading games.
In Game 1 the Hearts were up against last season’s Division 1 Grand Finalists Richmond City CC. After losing the toss and being sent in to bat first, the Hearts fought through some excellent Richmond City bowling to reach 6/25 from our 10 overs. In our bowling innings we made a fantastic start with the ball taking 3 early wickets, but Richmond City rallied to pass our score in the 7th over for the loss of 4 wickets.
In Game 2 the Hearts took on last season’s Division 2 top of the table side East Malvern Tooronga. After winning the toss the Hearts elected to bowl first. The experienced EMT batters kept the scoreboard ticking over and reached 2/66 from their 10 overs. In reply, the Hearts made a good fist of the chase reaching 3/48 from our 10 overs.
A phenomenal effort by the girls who in their first season of Senior Women’s cricket continue to impress. We finish our grading games with two wins and two close losses against quality opposition.
