Stay Connected with Edwin Kwong (OH 2013)
Before completing high school in 2013, Edwin was the Senior Organ Scholar at Haileybury College in both 2012 and 2013; he was also the Inaugural Organ Scholar of Queen’s College, University of Melbourne in 2014. Edwin maintains an interest in a wide variety of music, and his repertoire spans over 750 years, including both original and transcribed works. He has given the Australian premieres of organ works by composers from France, Iceland, Italy, New Zealand, Norway, and South Africa.
Internationally, he travelled to the UK in 2013, where he performed at Eton College and St John’s College, Cambridge, and he has performed in New Zealand regularly over the past five years. Edwin is currently a student of the renowned virtuoso Thomas Heywood, and has participated in master classes with renowned organists from France, Germany, and the UK. He has been involved in three CD recording projects thus far in his young career, and his recordings have been broadcast locally on 3MBS in Melbourne, and abroad on Radio New Zealand as well. Edwin’s next concert will be held at Lund Cathedral, Sweden on January 5th, 2019.
