Queen’s Birthday Order of Australia Award Recipients 2018

Andrew Crockett (OH ’65) has received has received an AM for significant service to the law particularly to legal aid services, to education, and to the community. Andrew has given extraordinary service to the Legal Aid Commission haven been CEO of the Legal Aid Commission ACT from 2006-2013. He also served as Director of the Legal Aid Commission of Victoria and Depurt Director of the Australian Legal Aid Office. Andrew is now a sessional Lecturer at Monash University, having been a Senior Lecturer from 1998-2006.

Colin Golvan (OH ’72) (pictured) has received an AM for significant service to the law, to legal education, particularly support for Indigenous students, and to the arts through governance and philanthropy. Colin has been a Victorian Bar Barrister, Intellectual Property and Trade Practices, since 1988, founding Chairman of Trustees, Indigenous Barristers’ Fund, since 2007 and is a former Chairman of the Indigenous Barrister’s Committee. He currently is Chair of the Fundraising Committee for Museums Victoria and Chair of the Australian Book Review. Colin was also Chair of the Malthouse Foundation from 2015-2018 and a Board Member of the Malthouse Theatre during this time.
