Where are they Now – Giulio Taranto (OH 2007)

Giulio Taranto (OH 2007) pursued his passion for technology and completed a Bachelor of Business Information Systems at Monash University in 2010.

During this time, Giulio completed two 6-month internships with NAB Bank and Deloitte Risk in a technology advisory capacity, before being offered a graduate role with Deloitte. He commenced his career with Deloitte Risk / Consulting and has been lucky enough to travel the world with the likes of Amazon, BHPB and Bank of South Pacific providing specialised technology risk and consulting services.

In 2018 Giulio joined ANZ Bank as the Enterprise Technology Risk Manager, before joining MLC Life Insurance in 2021 leading their Technology and Cyber Risk program. In his current role, Giulio advises technology and the business on methods to manage risk caused by technology, preventing cyber attacks such as DDoS and Ransomware.

Outside of work, Giulio is heavily involved in cryptocurrency, blockchain and non-fungible tokens (NFTs), and is in the process of creating a portfolio of digital art.
