Where are they Now – Neil (Nobby) Clark (OH ’81)
Neil (Nobby) Clark (OH ’81) and his wife Karen have lived in Newman, Western Australia for the past 25 years.
Nobby and Karen left Melbourne, after marrying in May 1992, to travel overseas. They owned a bar in Mallorca for a couple of seasons until they fell in love with Newman while on holidays.
Nobby is a Crane Operator in the mining industry and is trialling semi-retirement as he works 4 on 5 off, 5 on then 14 off.
Nobby and Karen purchased a Motorhome in January 2019 and travelled around Australia for 14 months. They loved it so much that he reduced his hours so they could travel around WA every month. They currently own a Mail Contract with Australia Post which delivers to Marble Bar. It is a 610km round trip 3 days a week with just 2 stops.
Nobby has been heavily involved with local footy, coaching for 5 years prior to the purchase of their Motorhome. They attend one Carlton v Collingwood clash each year and despite being opposites they remain happily married!
Nobby, along with many of his peers, would have loved to have attended his recent 40 year school reunion in Melbourne, however was unable to due to COVID-19 restrictions.
Thanks for staying connected Nobby!
